A Study on the Actual Condition of liiegal Dental Treatments by Unlicenced persons in Korea

Abstract
In order to provide a guide for developing appropriate measures against illegal dental treatment, a study was conducted to collect the data about the actual condition of illegal dental service by unlicenced persons in korea.
A questionnaire was used to personally interview 107 Koreans who had received illegal dental service. @ES The results were as follows;
@EN 1. The illegal dental treatment has not been ceased, and was still found to persist in recent years.
2. The case which an unlicenced person visits the patient was the 59.8% of total illegal dental treatment.
3. the nation's attitude to illegal dental treatment seemed to be passive, so it was recommended that positive oral health education was to be needed.
4. It was recommended that the dental insurance system should be modified because high percentage of illegal dental treatment has provided to answered patients because of lower treatment fees.
5. It was recommended that for the advance in the nation's oral health, Korean dental society must make an effort to change future trend of dental practice toward prevention and early treatment.
